About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Repair Technician Class A Metal Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing top-quality, cosmetically flawless finishes on metal surfaces for automotive Stamping parts. This role is crucial for ensuring that our automotive products meet the highest standards of aesthetics and quality, particularly for external-facing parts where appearance is paramount.
You Will:
- Perform metal finishing tasks to achieve a flawless, cosmetically perfect surface on automotive parts
- Ensure all metal surfaces are free from visible imperfections or blemishes
- Work on external-facing automotive parts where aesthetics are crucial
- Maintain high standards of quality and precision in all finishing tasks
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
You Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Proven experience as a metal finisher, with a focus on achieving Class A finishes for automotive parts
- Ability to determine proper technique of metal finish to ensure acceptable Class A finish
- Knowledge and experience in steel and aluminum applications in manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work with various metal finishing tools and equipment
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in metal finishing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in finishing metal surfaces for automotive parts
- Certification or training in metal finishing techniques
