Sweep is hiring a Fullstack Engineer to work on our sustainability data management platform.

 

Climate change is the defining challenge of our era, and technology is at the center of the fight. Sweep is arming companies with tools to manage their climate impact, thereby contributing to a better future for everyone. 

 

Ok, sounds promising. What will I be doing?

 


As an integral part of our engineering team, you will help build our innovative SaaS tool that allows companies to measure and track their Carbon and ESG data, set reduction goals and report on progress towards a cleaner future.


More specifically, this includes:

  • Evolve the Core Product 🌱 
    You will participate in every stage of the development life-cycle, from design to production. You will implement end-to-end features from data models to back-end and UI development, ensuring a seamless user experience.

  • Be a Team Player đź‘« 
    You will actively participate in team meetings, review and provide feedback on pull requests and code changes, and collaborate on the technical design of significant features.

  • Act as Infrastructure Guardian ⚙️ 
    You will build, set up, and maintain our development tools and infrastructure, automate and improve development and release processes, and ensure that our systems are secure and resilient against cybersecurity threats.

  • Pursue quality 🔍 
    You will make incremental, well-tested changes and improve and extend the QA processes.

Qualifications đźŹ†

  • Engineer degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience as a fullstack software developer.

  • Proficiency in React (our Frontend technology) and/or Ruby on Rails (our Backend technology). 
    If unfamiliar with React, experience with another Frontend framework is required. 
    If unfamiliar with Ruby on Rails, experience with another Backend framework is required.

  • Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus, but a strong understanding of relational database concepts is required.

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
