Full-time, London Based (Hybrid)
We're on a mission to bring transparency and trust to this rapidly growing market, empowering everyone to price and manage risk effectively.
We're a dynamic climate tech startup with a team of brilliant minds spanning climate science, finance, earth observation, machine learning, and engineering.
We're building innovative technology to analyse vast amounts of data and provide critical insights to carbon market players worldwide. Our tech stack primarily consists of Go and React, running on AWS. However, we prioritise choosing the best tool for each task rather than strictly adhering to specific technologies.
We believe our people are our greatest strength, and we're committed to fostering a culture of growth, opportunity and innovation.
We think about software engineering around the following pillars:
Build the right thing - we want to make sure we're delivering products that our users need and prioritise the things that will have the best impact.
Build it right - we want to write good code which for us means it is extensible, well tested, easily understood and accounts for edge cases and errors.
Run it right - we want to make sure our apps run as reliably as possible in production, valuing monitoring and observability. We want to ensure we learn from any incidents and use them to drive improvements.
We are searching for a mid to senior level software engineer to join our delivery team. You’ll be working on cross functional teams alongside other software engineers, data engineers, product managers and designers to build applications for both customers and internal users.
Hands-on delivery: You love to code. You're driven by the challenge of building innovative solutions and find deep satisfaction in seeing your technical contributions come to life.
Full stack: We work mostly with Go on the backend and React/TypeScript on the frontend. We don’t expect you to be an expert in both, but a strong background in at least one—and readiness to pick up the other—will set you up for success.
Product focused: You consider user needs and product vision in all aspects of your work and want to understand the “why” behind everything you build.
Embrace change: You can adapt to changing requirements, moving between different domains and picking up new technologies.
Communication: You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences
Continuous Improvement: You constantly seek ways to enhance our processes and the quality of our work.
