Software Engineer, II

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, self-driven, and knowledgeable Software Engineer, II to join our team supporting our continued growth and innovation to build interconnected and resilient communities.

Objective: As a Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of our team, leading the design, development, and troubleshooting of the ecoLong’s software solutions such as: energy trading and optimization, [link], cybersecurity, [link], among others.

Primary Responsibilities for the role (including, but not limited to):

• Design, document, and develop quality software solutions spanning multiple platforms

• Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes

• Demonstrate ability to work in a collaborative environment with evolving project requirements

  
  

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

• Minimum 2 years of working experience

• Deep understanding and development experience (Python, Java, Go, Rust, or similar)

• Practical experience designing and delivering high quality end-to-end solutions

• Experience with Agile /SCRUM methodology for product development

• Experience with building pipelines to automate the software development, testing, and deployment lifecycle like AzureDevOps, Circle CI, etc.

• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with open-source container ecosystem or serverless cloud services

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Able to cope with and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic work environment with evolving project requirements

• A passion for sustainability and advancing clean energy initiatives

Salary and Benefits :

Commensurate with experience annual base salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, and health and wellness benefits.
