About the Job

Working for the logistics team the purpose of this role will be to plan driver routes to ensure that all deliveries and collections are successfully achieved daily, including liaising with engineers, couriers, internal drivers, and the customer service team.

This is a permanent part time role working 20 hours per week - Monday to Friday 10:00 till 14:00. Candidates must be able to cover longer hours during Logistics planner holidays. 

  • Liaising with external support services, such as agency drivers & office administrators to ensure that routes cover all collections.
  • Minimise the use of couriers in favour of our own logistics.
  • Liaising with engineers and drivers daily to arrange collections & deliveries to and from sites.
  • Efficient driver route planning.
  • Effective management of peak demand by efficient utilisation of the above or cover should the need arise.
  • Communicate all delays reported by drivers, couriers & engineers regarding the returning samples to laboratory for processing.
  • Utilise company CRM (i.e. Fresh Suite) for liaising with engineers/ colleagues. 
  • Sample collections from various sites (cover as required).
  • Establish effective, professional, positive working relationships with colleagues & engineers.
  • Be responsible for personal health and safety at work. 
  • Handle confidential information with due care and maintain confidentiality. 
  • Always maintain a tidy and clean workplace. 
  • Ensure any concerns or issues regarding to the van are communicated immediately. 
  • Communicate any personal or professional development needs to your line manager.
