<img src="https://workablehr.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/photos/128656/d3d767b77f1280e90bf88b343878642d.png" style="width:761px;height:auto;">Skeleton's Supercapacitor Data Centers team is looking for a driven Senior Mechanical Engineer Cell Design with the vision to match our ambition.Your tasks in the net zero journey: <img src="https://workablehr.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/photos/128656/14d3d8436c05a267af7374ae6d843c23.webp" style="float:right;margin:0px 0px 4px 4px;width:209.25314196717724px;height:auto;"><ul><li>Work together with cell (and SuperBattery) team engineers to design/improve/manage supercapacitor cells.</li><li>Create, manage and keep up to date the design documentation (models, drawings, documents, risk assessments)</li><li>Create deliverables according to the development process.</li><li>Co-operation with industrial engineers on the stable manufacturing of the design.</li><li>Reporting to and working together with mechanical engineering team on the design solutions</li><li>Find design solutions which can be used to hit product target requirements.</li><li>Build prototypes and perform testing to validate design solutions.</li><li>Instruct and supervise the manufacturing of our products if needed.</li><li>Communicate with component suppliers and procurement team to find suitable solutions.</li><li>Co-operation with procurement team to ensure that design meets target cost. </li></ul>RequirementsWe don’t expect to master it all. At Skeleton, you’ll have the support of the team and we work together to achieve our goals. However, there are requirements you should be able to fulfill to succeed in this role: <ul> <li>Successfully completed Bachelors or Masters' degree studies in mechanical engineering field.</li> <li>At least 5 of professional experience as a design engineer.</li> <li>Prior experience with battery Cell design (preferably Cylindrical cells), or other relations with battery industry.</li> <li>Experience with mass production, manufacturability.</li> <li>Well experienced with SolidWorks.</li> <li>Very good modelling skills.</li> <li>Great at creating and reading technical drawings.</li> <li>Understanding of cell design and relevant electrical parameters for cell design.</li> <li>Capability of using hand- and power tools.</li> <li>High proficiency in technical writing</li> <li>Understanding of quality tools (DFMEA, Significant characteristics, etc.)</li> <li>Have fluent English language skills, German would be a huge advantage.</li> <li>Bringing forward interpersonal skills of independency, resourcefulness, time management, internal drive.</li> <li>As a personality, you are open and keen communicator, can explain your thought process and able to bring forward new ideas but also receive constructive criticisism.</li> </ul>BenefitsWe're not just about energy storage.
