This is an opportunity to join during a critical growth phase and build software experiences and capabilities which will have a significant impact on the company’s day-to-day operations and ability to scale.  This role reports to our Sparks, Nevada office 5 days per week. Responsibilities Will Include: <ul><li>Manage the full scope of software projects (requirements gathering, design, dev, test, deploy, and support applications)</li><li>Write clean, maintainable code which is easy to debug and test</li><li>Design and implement modern web applications</li><li>Help design foundational data systems which will power future analytics, reporting, and application development </li><li>Build solutions that integrate with existing enterprise software</li><li>Partner with cross functional teams to discover business needs and drive requirements for custom software solutions</li></ul>Desired Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience</li><li>Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience developing software in a modern cloud environment (containerization, Linux, Git, automated deployment, etc.)</li><li>Fluency in modern Python and Typescript</li><li>Practical experience building front end applications (ideally React or Preact) and designing intuitive user interfaces without a designer  </li><li>Experience designing and interacting with relational and non-relational databases</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage production workloads (debugging, monitoring, alerting)</li><li>Familiarity with cloud services/architectures for API deployment</li><li>Experience integrating with enterprise software solutions (Oracle, SAP, etc.) a plus</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers </li><li>A passion for excellence and a desire to be part of a high-performing team</li></ul>Physical Requirements:  <ul><li>Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards</li><li>Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards </li><li>Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone</li></ul>Working Conditions:  This position operates primarily in an office environment, with infrequent tours of Redwood’s operating facilities to understand the context under which software applications will be used. <div>The position is full-time.
