  • Knowing your business environment: You are fascinated by Coding, Big Data, ETL pipelines and Cloud Infrastructure? Support us in developing our cloud-based data pipelines, scale your solutions into the cloud and let them run on terabytes of data.

  • Taking over responsibilities: Be responsible for supporting us in our day-to-day work of maintaining, developing and optimizing our data pipelines. 

  • Showing your strengths: You will take an active role in developing new features for our data pipeline as well as work on optimizing our workflows and data structures.

  • Shaping the future: Data serves as the backbone of our battery analytics platform, which not only drives current decision-making in the energy market but also plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of battery usage.

Your Skills

  • Experiences: You are currently enrolled in a technical program in Information Technology or Computer Science and are ideally approaching the end of your Bachelor's studies or at the beginning of your Master's, with sufficient at least 1 year remaining in your sutdies.

  • Know-how: You are highly interested in software and data engineering topics and utilizing cloud technologies to work on big data. 

  • Programming skills: 

    • Python skills, especially focused on data manipulation (with Pandas) and Object-Oriented programming.

    • Knowledge of data structures.

    • Knowledge of SQL and a general understanding of database systems.

    • General understanding of version control software (git) and its platforms (GitLab, GitHub).

  • Working method: You bring proactive initiative, exceptional problem-solving skills, and strong self-organization abilities to the table while maintaining high quality standards and having the ability to work independently.

  • Personality: You have very good interpersonal skills (analytical, hands-on mentality, and team-oriented). 

  • Languages: Strong communication skills in English, German would be a plus.

  • Remote or office based: While remote work is possible, we're looking for students based in or around Aachen who can make it to our lovely office at least twice a week. Occasional home office is absolutely fine, but being able to collaborate on-site when needed is important to us.
