POSITION SUMMARY 

The Product Line Manager reporting to the Director / Sr. Manager, Aftermarket N.A., the Product Line Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for managing the overall strategy for the product range to ensure new product opportunity, launch, and revenue/margin objectives are met. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ REQUIREMENTS  

  • Direct and oversee new or existing product o2ffering: manage the entire product life cycle (product range, new applications, deletions & supersessions, packaging, cataloging, etc. 

  • Be the product expert able to support the sales as required with customer visits, support the next generation of new business opportunities to directly impact revenue and growth. 

  • Initiate business cases for product range extensions, sales quotes, and new product launches. Interface with data management, packaging engineering, purchasing, logistics to help identify sources and achieve New Product Introduction (NPI). 

  • Coordinate with cross functional teams ensuring processes are followed efficiently, deliverables are aligned, and the team is focused on the same Business Plan objectives, in line with the global product strategy and subsequent growth opportunities. 

  • Review global competitive position with local Sales & Marketing teams. 

  • Develop pricing strategies with the pricing manager and sales representatives 

  • Work with the Aftersales Marketing team to ensure correct product positioning and communication at launch and throughout product lifecycle 

  • Support the organizations sales efforts, train local sales and marketing personnel on product features and benefits. 

  • Provide details for product support literature, launch materials supporting range extensions and product presentations, etc.  

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree, Business or Engineering; Project Management certification is a plus 

  • 5-7 years of extensive experience in the aftermarket area of the automotive supplier industry. 

  • Deep knowledge of Ignition and Exhaust Gas Management product knowledge.  

  • Highly skilled in data analysis and problem solving  

  • Capable to work under pressure and meet deadlines. 

  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks with a strong drive for results  

  • Skilled working with SAP and MS Office/Teams 

  • Effective communication skills, ability to work both independently as well as in a team.

Salary Range:

$104,800 - $144,100
