MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To support and optimize procurement and supply chain operations by maintaining ERP system accuracy, analyzing data, coordinating cross-functional activities, and ensuring efficient sourcing and inventory management.

JOB OBJECTIVES

1. Maintain ERP System Accuracy & Inventory Control: To ensure ERP (SAP) system integrity by setting and adjusting reorder points (ROP), max quantities, and conducting regular MRP runs. Monitor stock movements and support accurate physical vs. system inventory through regular cycle counts.

2. Optimize Supply Chain Processes through ERP Support: To use SAP to streamline procurement, inventory, and logistics workflows. Generate reports to identify obsolete or non-compliant materials and ensure timely goods receipt (GR), goods issue (GI), and order closures in coordination with warehouse teams.

3. Provide Technical Support for ERP Users: To act as the first line of support for ERP-related issues, assisting end users and coordinating with SAP/IT teams to resolve system errors and ensure continuous operations.

4. Analyze ERP Data for Performance Improvement: To extract and analyze supply chain data to generate actionable insights, optimize stock levels, and classify inventory (e.g., ABC analysis) to support better decision-making and cost control.

5. Drive ERP System Enhancements: To identify improvement opportunities based on business needs and work with IT/SAP teams to implement upgrades or enhancements that improve efficiency and system performance.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: To liaise with maintenance, operations, finance, procurement, QC, and vendor management teams to ensure data accuracy, audit readiness, and timely delivery of materials and services.

7. User Training and Compliance: To deliver training sessions to ensure consistent ERP usage across the supply chain. Monitor user compliance with system protocols and promote best practices in data entry and process flow.

8. Support Procurement Activities: To assist in sourcing vendors, evaluating bids (technical and commercial), creating purchase orders, and maintaining vendor relationships, especially for IT and related commodities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field

Relevant qualifications:

  • AP MM (Materials Management) or related ERP certifications
  • CIPS, CPSM, or other supply chain/procurement certifications
