The In Cab Technology Coordinator is responsible for seamlessly integrating, installing, training, and supporting advanced in-cab technology solutions. This role requires extensive travel, hands-on technical work, and close collaboration with teams to enhance fleet safety and efficiency through cutting-edge technology.



 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of advanced in-cab technologies, including En Route, Fleetmapper, and other fleet management systems, ensuring optimal functionality.

  • Administer and optimize Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems to guarantee secure and efficient device deployment and operation.

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for drivers and staff, focusing on effective utilization, troubleshooting, and best practices for in-cab systems.

  • Manage the integration and calibration of camera systems (backup, forward-facing, dual facing) in collaboration with camera vendors, ensuring seamless operation and data accuracy.

  • Provide expert on-site and remote technical support to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly, minimizing downtime.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation and training materials tailored to specific operational needs, ensuring clarity and accessibility.

  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to test, implement, and continuously improve in-cab technology solutions, staying abreast of industry advancements.

  • Proactively monitor fleet technology performance, analyze data, and recommend strategic upgrades or enhancements to drive operational efficiency and safety.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven experience in deploying and supporting In Cab technology solutions, including fleet management systems, and camera systems.

  • Strong understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems and their application in a fleet environment.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs to diverse audiences.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

  • Ability to create clear and concise technical documentation and training materials.

  • Able to work independently and seek out opportunities for improving business processes through the effective use of system applications.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.

  • Willingness to research and find solutions to new business issues.

  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

  • Willingness to travel extensively for on-site installations, training, and support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, MDM certifications) are a plus.
