Position Summary
Ensure the reliability of the fixed assets in charge, managing the internal and external (3rd party) services necessary to install, repair and maintain these assets at their optimum point of operation. Promote the conservation of the basic conditions of the assets, managing the existence of an optimal inventory of spare parts, as well as monitoring their operating conditions, guaranteeing the optimized use of the useful life of the equipment. Ensure the development of the necessary skills both in operators and maintenance technicians and engineers to minimize the forced wear of the equipment.
Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
Manage the optimized minimum stocks of spare parts in the warehouse.
Manage the periodic repairs necessary to mitigate the natural wear and tear of the equipment.
Maintain technical and commercial correspondence with suppliers and OEM parts both in the country and abroad.
Keep updated the technical documentation of the equipment in charge (blueprints, manuals, BOMs, Activity Cards, Maintenance Plans, SOPs, etc.).
Ensure proper technical analysis of all deviations (breakdowns, loss of basic conditions, speed reduction, etc.) of the equipment.
Completion of the purchase request (clarity in the specifications, supporting purchases in tenders with preparation of service offers, monitoring of delivery until its arrival at the factory, among others).
Comply with the DoA and all internal regulations applicable to the purchasing process.
Make claims to suppliers and OEMs for defects and failures.
Receive of commercial representatives at the company's facilities.
Travel for parts in an emergency.
Cooperation with all interested parties in processes with which there is a relationship, either internally or externally.
Development of technical skills for new and probationary workers.
Comply with the functions of the safety, occupational health, environment and quality system in accordance with the CANPACK procedures.
Read and comprehend technical manuals, service manuals, diagrams, blueprints and schematics.
Manage predictive and preventive maintenance for all plant equipment and schedule required corrective actions using MTTR and MTBF KPI’s.
Utilize the maintenance software to plan, schedule, print, document time, and manage work orders from inception through completion.
Keep accurate records as required to protect products, materials, processes, and information.
Audit and monitor programs and processes as needed to maintain reliability.
Communicate effectively with management regarding PM requirements, completions, and challenges.
Performs other tasks reasonably commensurate with the role, as directed
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Associate degree or significant experience in a related/similar field (prior Beverage Can/End or Automotive Manufacturing experience preferred)
2 years of relevant experience with maintenance planning / parts/inventory management / engineering or transferable knowledge
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment parts
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Previous SAP experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills through all levels of the organization.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products to include: Word, Excel, Outlook
