Position Summary:

 

This is a stand-alone position who provides support to VPs, GMs, Managing Directors or multiple Directors. Exercises confidentiality, tact and diplomacy. Uses business software applications (e.g., word processing, presentation and spreadsheet) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.; may prepare responses to routine correspondence and inquiries. Receives, screens and directs incoming calls, visitors, mail and e-mail. Maintains files, records, calendars and diaries; typically arranges business travel, coordinates meeting arrangements, and tracks expenses. Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision; serves in non-exempt capacity. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Uses business software applications (e.g., word processing, presentation and spreadsheet) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc

  • May prepare responses to routine correspondence and inquiries

  • Receives, screens and directs incoming calls, visitors, mail and e-mail

  • Maintains files, records, calendars and diaries

  • Typically arranges business travel, coordinates meeting arrangements

  • Reconciles expense reports monthly

  • Create Purchase requisitions and process invoices in CAPS and Maximo (Willing to train)

  • Work with other EAs on projects and providing floor coverage

  • Monitors/orders floor and office supplies

  • Provide administrative support to executive staff as needed, provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks (i.e. proof and send communications on behalf of leadership staff)

  • Timekeeper/BUA in My Time for the organization

 

Required/Basic Qualifications

  • High School/GED

  • In addition to required degree, ten (10) or more years related work experience

 

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with CAPS and Maximo

 

 

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite location. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to a Duke Energy facility and will be required to be onsite four days per week.
