These Field Engineers will collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to safely commission and operate first-of-a-kind industrial installations of Antora’s technology and will be a key technical member of a cross-functional and rapidly growing organization, whose work will directly contribute to the demonstration of a first of a kind long-duration energy storage technology.  We are looking for expertise in the following areas:<ol><li>Low and Medium Voltage (LV/MV) Equipment</li><li>Network, Instrumentation and Controls (N, I&amp;C)</li><li>Mechanical, Electrical, and Process (MEP)</li></ol>This role requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering, construction, and operations teams.This role requires being on long-term assignments (6-9 months) at project sites. Antora provides airfare, lodging support, daily per diems, ground transportation, and regular home-visit travel. Employees receive defined assignment objectives, performance check-ins, and accommodations to ensure a safe, supported, and successful experience.Roles &amp; Responsibilities<ul><li>Commission Antora’s thermal battery systems.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve technical issues from a first principles approach and share learnings across organization, drive issues to resolution bt coordinating both internal and external resources</li><li>Create, follow, and provide feedback on required commissioning documentation (ITPs, checklists, punchlists, inspection reports, etc.)</li><li>Help ensure a clean hand-off from construction to commissioning crew by leading reviews with EPCs and subcontractors to maintain schedule, performance, operability, and safety; RFIs, submittals, QA/QC, punchlists.</li><li>Help ensure a clean hand-off to site operations by providing clear documentation and required training to operations crew</li><li>Willingness to travel extensively to project sites.</li></ul>Key Qualifications<ul><li>Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues from a first principles approach and share learnings across organization</li><li>2+ years of field experience commissioning industrial equipment.</li><li>Lead reviews with EPCs and subcontractors to ensure schedule, performance, operability, and safety.</li><li>Strong knowledge of electrical, equipment, and process safety standards and procedures.</li><li>Excellent communication and documentation skills.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure.</li><li>Willingness to travel extensively to project sites.</li><li>Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, or equivalent</li></ul>Option 1 - MV/LV Equipment<ul><li>Hands-on experience with MV (up to 34.5kV) electrical equipment: switchgear, protective relays, transformers, and generators. </li><li>Experience programming and testing MV protection relay settings (SEL preferred).</li><li>Hands-on experience with LV equipment - motors, generators, load banks, motor controllers/VFDs.</li><li>Experience creating and executing electrical test plans, including automated test sets (Dobble, Omicron, or similar).</li></ul>Option 2 - Network, Instrumentation and Controls (N, I&amp;C)<ul><li>Commission full spectrum of instrumentation and control systems: ;  Network infrastructure (cat6, fiber, switches, patch panels), PLC/RIO cabinets, field devices (RTDs, TCs, PTs, flow meters, etc.), , and instrument wiring.</li><li>Lead loop checks, functional testing, controls commissioning, and site acceptance.</li><li>Troubleshoot controls/instrumentation and network issues during startup and operations.</li><li>Work with vendors/EPC to ensure controls and instrumentation meet Antora performance/safety needs.</li></ul>Option 3 - Mechanical, Electrical, Process (MEP)<ul><li>Own cross-discipline interface management across mechanical, electrical, and process systems.</li><li>Review P&amp;IDs, equipment layouts, process flows, and utility tie-ins, and validate completion with regular system walkdowns.</li><li>Coordinate modular thermal battery integration with site MEP infrastructure.</li><li>Support construction execution: RFIs, submittals, QA/QC, punchlists. Drive issues to resolution by coordinating internal Antora and external resources.</li></ul>Additional Qualifications Desired (“nice to have” but not required)<ul><li>Certifications: NETA Certified Technician (Level II/III/IV), OSHA 30 / NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Training, Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT </li><li>Experience with processes engineering of systems like Combined Heat and Power Plants, Boilers, Steam Generators and High Temperature Fluid loops.</li><li>Experience with digitalized grid systems, such as SDN, IEC 61850</li><li>Experience with industrial automation controllers:  Allen Bradley PLC, HART communications, SEL RTAC, or similar</li><li>Experience with Ignition SCADA.</li><li>Previous operations and maintenance experience</li></ul>Work Location:  Remote, with 60-80% TravelSalary Range:  $100,000 USD - $150,000 USDSalary Basis:  AnnualPlease note that the salary range listed above reflects Antora's Energy's estimated pay for this position.
