Senior Software Engineer (Backend) - App Connectivity

RABOT Energy is on a mission to make energy smarter, greener, and more customer-focused. As part of our journey, we’re expanding our App Connectivity team — the group responsible for making sure RABOT’s platform can talk seamlessly to heat pumps, wallboxes, smart meters, and other connected devices. 

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (C#) to help us build and scale the APIs and infrastructure that enable smart energy management. If you're passionate about high-impact, platform-level engineering and want to work at the intersection of software and connected hardware — we want to hear from you! 

Your Impact

• Help develop the APIs and backend logic that connect RABOT’s app to a growing ecosystem of hardware partners (EV chargers, heating systems, smart meters, and more).

• Own key parts of our backend systems that ensure reliable, real-time communication between users and their energy devices.

• Work closely with product managers and mobile developers ensure smooth feature rollouts and high system reliability.

• Develop robust, secure, and scalable microservices to manage the increasing complexity of our device network.

• Write clean, well-tested code and help establish engineering best practices across the team.

• Participate in the full development cycle — from architecture and implementation to deployment and monitoring.

• Take ownership of the reliability and performance of your services and continuously look for ways to improve.

• Working in a fast-paced setting where priorities can shift quickly.

What can you bring

• Tech Stack Experience: Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, and PostgreSQL. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP or similar cloud platforms.

• Connectivity Mindset: Experience building APIs, device integrations, or working in domains where system communication and uptime are critical.

• Best Practices Utilization: Familiar with test-driven development (TDD), CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments.

• Agile Engineering: Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams — and comfort with iterative development and fast feedback loops.

• Customer-Centric Thinking: You understand that good engineering starts with solving real problems for real people.

• Location: Be based in or willing to relocate to Hamburg.
