We are seeking an ML Engineer for Parking, Planning and Prediction to join our team.
This role requires employees to be onsite five days a week in Newark, CA.
Role:
Design and implement state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms for data-driven parking behavior prediction and decision-making
Optimize models for real-time inference, ensuring high performance and generalization across diverse environments
Design scalable and efficient behavior and motion planning software architectures for Level 2/3/4 autonomous parking systems
Develop, prototype, test, and release advanced planning software stacks for Lucid production programs
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless and robust deployment of motion planning and prediction modules
Support the verification and validation of planning and prediction algorithms using prototype and pre-production vehicles
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or equivalent experience
In-depth knowledge of designing and training large-scale models and multimodal applications
Proven experience solving real-world problems using machine learning and integrating solutions into production systems
Proficiency in C++, Python, PyTorch, TensorRT, and strong software engineering design skills
Solid understanding of physics, probability, and statistics
Excellent communication skills and a strong willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field
Experience in autonomous vehicle planning and behavior prediction
Publications in top-tier conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, AAAI, or IJCV
Experience developing real-time systems
Hands-on experience testing complex AV systems in real-world environments
Familiarity with ROS2, QNX, Git, and CI/CD pipelines

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$136,200—$187,330 USD
