Responsibilities:
- Manage the improvement of manufacturing processes, methods, and quality for efficiency. Perform research, design and develop manufacturing processes to include production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
- Coordinate launch of new/revised products, establishing goals, training team members and evaluation results. Lead or support development for all new investment processes (Capex). Manage the design, develop, test and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery and equipment for manufacturing methods. Perform process/product analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency.
- Ensure implementation of Organizational Objectives for Workplace Safety specifically for Freudenberg Safety Standards and Risk Assessment in the operation.
- Maintain records, files, and documentation such as process set-up sheets and PFMEAs
- Manage and provide leadership to maintenance team on daily issues. Provide input and manage for the preventative maintenance program. Comply with all Company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a manufacturing engineer. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, manufacturing, or other related to process engineering.
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques. Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment. Root cause problem-solving.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Quality orientation and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written. Ability to think and plan ahead, prepare and present plans and coordinate deployment, to include training of employees.
- Creates a team-oriented atmosphere and collaborative approach to process development. Basic skills in business administration with cost awareness.
