CNC Machinist - 3rd Shift

Must be able to work 3rd Shift 

• Must have expert knowledge of machining practices.  Must understand what is needed for creating a part, ensuring quality, and the proper safety practices.

• Must have advanced blueprint reading experience.

• Must understand tooling and its proper applications

• Maintains quality output while meeting department production requirements.

• Must be able to follow and understand written instructions.

• Must have a high level of understanding of machine shop math and calculations.

• Must be able to communicate with processing for creating set up sheets and putting programs on the system for future use.

• Must be able to independently make a part from a blueprint.  This includes writing a program from scratch, setting up and machining a part, selecting the proper tooling, and verifying quality. These skills must be used for CNC lathes along with vertical and horizontal mills.

• Must be able to read, understand, make necessary edits, and offset adjustments to programs when necessary.

• Must be able to understand how to calculate the proper feeds and speeds for a variety of tooling.
