The Opportunity
The Bids and Proposal Manager is responsible for developing pre-tender contract strategies and working closely with marketing, sales, and business management teams to structure proposals, contracts, and bid documents. The manager will handle large, complex SCADA jobs on EMS, ADMS, APM, and other related projects, ensuring high-quality bids and close collaboration with sales and operating unit teams. The role requires alignment with key stakeholders, including Global Product Group (GPG), Supply Chain, and other relevant departments, to compile winnable bids and manage the risk review process.
How you’ll make an impact
Develop tender strategies and execution plans aligned with the Capture Team Strategy, targeting customer expectations and needs, including commercial setup, internal setup, broad Division of Works (DoW), reference projects, lessons learned, value proposition, and deliverables.
Facilitate effective collaboration with key stakeholders across business and geographical boundaries to achieve common goals.
Drive the internal setup and agreements for project execution within the Business Unit (BU) and Company.
Identify and resolve issues or obstacles that may hinder the Bids Preparation progress.
Ensure adherence to established processes and procedures.
Oversee the quality and timeliness of deliverables produced.
Manage requirements throughout the tender process and ensure proper documentation of deviations and clarifications.
Control and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
Oversee the target cost as it relates to the tender strategy, ensuring it is competitive.
Monitor cost-related aspects during the tender process.
Present target costs to management based on client, technology, geography, contract, and delivery time schedule.
Lead the identification and quantification of technical and commercial risks and opportunities during the tender phase and execution.
Manage the development and execution of mitigation actions.
Actively manage risk and opportunity development during the tender execution.
Drive the Risk Review preparation process or support the local unit as needed.
Align with expert functions (insurance, tax, finance, legal, and all internal departments) and ensure their input is integrated into the tender in an appropriate and competitive way.
Participate and Support technical and commercial negotiations, ensuring compliance with mandates.
Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the tendering and sales process.
Provide necessary support from the bid preparation stage to Sales Managers during negotiations and meetings with customers.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Master’s degree preferred with relevant 10+ years of experience in Sales, Bids & Proposal for SCADA and automation Industry.
Strong understanding of grid automation technologies, products, and solutions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex sales cycles.
Proven experience in managing large, complex SCADA jobs on EMS, ADMS, APM, and other related projects.
Strong understanding of contract, bid, and proposal management processes.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
