Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to our vendors, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts payable principles, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in relevant software systems, including Ariba, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:
•    Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, including matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
•    Ensure proper coding and approval of invoices.
•    Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and wire transfer.
•    Knowledge in Pcard and Virtual Card processing.
•    Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records.
•    Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding payment status and inquiries.
•    Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals and reconciliations.
•    Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
•    Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
•    Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting regulations.
•    Generate and analyze accounts payable reports.

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable.
•    Strong working knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices.
•    Proficiency in Ariba and SAP is required.
•    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other data analysis functions.
•    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
•    Strong organizational and time-management skills.
•    Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
•    Experience with automated invoice processing systems is a plus.

This position is required to work onsite 5 days per week to meet the minimum essential duties and requirements of this position.  As an on-site R&D and manufacturing operations organization, in-person face to face interaction is essential to building authentic relationships, trust, teamwork, and collaboration. 

Compensation & Benefits: Salary range for this role has a range of $66,800 to $96,900, and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan. In addition, we do offer a tremendous benefits plan including employee paid health care, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and other exciting perks.
