Our mission is to have a positive social and economic impact on the community by providing a safe and reliable transportation option for all who live, work, or play in Sioux Falls.As a Diesel Mechanic at SAM by Via, you will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on buses, automotive equipment, and shop equipment. What You’ll Do:<ul><li>Direct highly varied and complex operations related to vehicle and equipment service</li><li>Repair and/or replace any subsystem associated with heavy, medium, and/or light duty SAM coaches and automotive equipment</li><li>Work with other maintenance workers, drivers, and transportation supervisors</li><li>Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors</li></ul>Who You Are:<ul><li>Possess knowledge of the design, adjustment, operation, maintenance, and repair of systems and subsystems of SAM coaches and related shop equipment</li><li>Able to work on their feet eight hours per day, lift 100 pounds, and carry parts, equipment, and supplies</li><li>Possess excellent manual dexterity</li><li>High school diploma or GED equivalent, including trade or vocational school.
