Position Specific Description

Be an important part of small team acting as liaison between Treasury (financing) and Development.  Review and advise on forward-looking, project-specific financing activity for full spectrum of generation and transmission technologies being developed by NextEra Energy Resources.  Will also provide transaction support to active non-recourse financings (TE and PF) being executed by the Treasury team.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•    Review and provide comments on all PPAs being negotiated by Origination/Development

•    Participate in negotiation of financing-specific PPA/ESA terms on an ad hoc basis

•    Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis to team leader to support group activities

•    Provide financing assumptions to guide project approvals modeling

•    Prepare PowerPoint slides detailing financing plans for project approvals decks

•    Track and organize material project documents and presentations for handoff to transaction teams

•    Support transaction diligence, transactional documentation, and transaction modeling as necessary

•    Act as a mentor and good teammate to other members of the TreasDev team

•    Performs other job-related duties as assigned

 

Preferred Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s - Finance or Accounting
•    Master’s - Finance or Accounting
•    CPA or CFA
 

Job Overview

This position works with internal and external groups to perform due diligence and asset valuations of various corporate financing projects. This position works as a Subject Matter Expert in the planning and coordination of work assignments to identify and analyze the impact of relevant financing projects.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works with internal and external groups to analyze various financial projects such as mergers and acquisitions                   
  • Builds, enhances and maintains complex financial models                   
  • Proposes strategies to maximize the financial performance of the company                   
  • Supports project and corporate capitalization processes with due diligence, identification of key risks and mitigants, and cash flow analyses                   
  • Makes recommendations on financing decisions and executes long and/or short term financings          
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience            
  • Experience: 4+ years
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's - Accounting / Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)            
  • Chartered Financial Analyst  (CFA)
