Every mission is different, every solution is tailored, and you’ll have a direct hand in making it happen — from the first sketch to the final bolt.<br><br>As a Mechatronics Engineer based out of Munich, Germany, your main responsibilities will be aimed towards supporting the development of deployable solar arrays, with a focus on electrical and mechanical design, prototyping, testing and documentation.<br>Design custom solutions that meet our customers’ unique mission needs and requirements, follow them from initial design to hardware production and delivery, and support satellite integration until launch. <br>From state-of-the-art solar arrays to groundbreaking in-space manufactured solar arrays, follow us in this journey of revolutionizing space systems and push the boundaries of what is possible.                            Here is what you bring to the table<br>                                <ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field</li><li>3-5 years of experience in electrical design and system integration, preferably in aerospace</li><li>Experience in electronics, mechatronic and mechanical design (using ECAD, CAD, FEM tools) and familiarity with (new) space environment preferred </li><li>Good understanding of mechanical systems and kinematics (mechanisms, deployments, tolerances)</li><li>Solid understanding of GD&amp;T and design for manufacturing/assembly</li><li>Hands-on experience with harness design, sensor integration and motor/actuator control</li><li>Experience in PCB design and analysis</li><li>Familiarity with space standard and documentation practices (ECSS, MIL-STD, etc.)</li><li>Strong problems solving skills and ability to work in a striving team environment</li><li>Demonstrated experience in working in a dynamic and rapid-paced, nimble environment</li><li>Appreciation for craftsmanship and creativity in industrial/mechanical applications  </li><li>Self-motivated with high standards for quality in your work</li><li>Quick learner with a continuous improvement mindset</li><li>Have an open and direct communication style</li><li>Willingness to travel for business trips</li><li>Fluent in English is a requirement for our diverse team environment</li><li>You are eligible to work in Germany</li><li>You’re likely someone who enjoys designing things on your own time, including 3D printing, soldering, machining </li></ul>Nice-to-haves:<ul><li>Experience with space hardware design, manufacturing, assembly and testing</li><li>Experience in power and control electronics</li><li>Exposure to deployable mechanisms, actuators, slip rings or solar array deployment systems</li><li>Programming skills in Python, Matlab, or any other high-level language</li><li>Ability to work closely with suppliers, manufacturers and project partners</li></ul>                            Interested?<br>                                If you are seeking an exciting new challenge in a growth-oriented role, apply today by sending your CV and if you like, your cover letter and examples of your work.
