In this role, you will work as part of a team to help our clients solve challenging technical problems which are often urgent, high profile, and multi-disciplinary. You will also be responsible for expanding our capabilities in the areas of renewable energy, alternative energy, energy storage, and energy transition. You must have a strong technical background in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics. Career growth will involve increasing project management duties and substantial responsibility for generating revenue and client relations, as well as hiring technical staff.</p><h2>You will be responsible for</h2><ul> <li>Providing consulting services and developing business on a wide variety of systems, components and facilities, including the areas of:</li> <ul>  <li>Wind power</li>  <li>Solar power</li>  <li>Hydrogen systems</li>  <li>Alternative fuels</li>  <li>Energy storage</li>  <li>Energy transmission</li>  <li>Power plants</li> </ul> <li>Gathering and synthesizing information from a wide variety of sources (e.g., field investigations, experimental testing, document reviews, and engineering analysis) and effectively conveying technical conclusions.</li> <li>Promoting Exponent's expertise in alternative and renewable energy by meeting with potential clients, presenting at conferences, writing thought leadership articles and white papers, and conducting seminars</li> <li>Effectively managing and developing a group of highly motivated junior consultants</li></ul><h2>You will have the following skills and qualifications</h2><ul> <li>M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering</li> <li>6+ years of related work experience</li> <li>Professional Engineering license preferred</li> <li>Business development experience with a proven track record</li> <li>Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment</li> <li>Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills; must be able to communicate findings in the form of reports and presentations to our clients or in a public forum</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and assertively</li> <li>Strong project management and leadership experience.
