About the Job

Do you want to use your technical experience in a procurement role? Can you see yourself challenging tender documents, collaborating with colleagues in engineering, and negotiating with local suppliers to find the right solutions for an exciting pipeline of customer projects?

Responsibilities / Tasks

As our new Technical Buyer, you will be based at our office in Skanderborg, where you will be responsible for sourcing complex systems and work packages for project deliveries. We primarily work on customer projects and have a close working relationship with Group Procurement.

You will join our procurement team, which is part of the broader GEA project organisation. Focusing on project procurement, your goal is to secure strong supplier partnerships by collaborating closely with, e.g., our technical team, category managers, and local suppliers. You will also play a key role in ensuring that we have the necessary production capacity in workshops.

With projects ranging in size and complexity, you can expect to work with both standardised and custom solutions, contributing from the sales phase through the quotation stage and engineering, into project execution. Drawing on your technical experience, you will be responsible for:

  • Sourcing activities related to projects, such as pre-assembled skids, tanks, technical systems, and site installation activities
  • Contract agreements and negotiations, including framework agreements with selected suppliers
  • Processing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and follow-up for a selected scope of projects
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, including status meetings, supplier visits, and supplier performance reviews
  • Identifying areas with possible bottlenecks, such as single sourcing

Your work will entail ongoing cooperation with the sales organisation, project execution teams, and the aftermarket team, and you will collaborate closely with the project team to ensure that qualitative and quantitative input is captured in the different stages of the projects.

Your Profile / Qualifications

You have good analytical and problem-solving abilities, allowing you to work operationally while thinking strategically and tactically. With excellent communication skills, you are comfortable networking and building strong working relationships with colleagues across departments and external suppliers.

Most importantly, you are excited to leverage your technical knowledge in a procurement role, and to do so, we imagine that you bring:

  • A technical background and/or experience in project procurement in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Sourcing knowledge from the sales stage to project completion
  • Negotiation experience and know-how of international contract management
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP
  • Strong proficiency in spoken and written English
