Job Summary
With general direction, this role is responsible for the development, management and maintenance of software tools and applications. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled and motivated, have a strong technical background in software development, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving innovation in software development. This position will coordinate with other departments during the tools development.
Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the Integrated System Planning Tools across Avangrid. Provide technical direction and support to the development team, including code reviews, design discussions, and troubleshooting Mentor and provide technical support to other team members Provide technical support and training to the users of the tools. Coordinate with other departments during the development of tools Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of the development process. Provide technical assistance and consulting to other departments as necessary.
Skills and Requirements
Education & Experience Required:
•BS Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
•7 years of relevant experience
Skills/Abilities:
Required Technical skills:
Analysis and design of object-oriented solutions.
Server-side: Proficiency with C#, .NET Core.
Client-side: Proficiency with React, REST API, JSX, JSON, Typescript, Javascript and CSS.
Experience with SQL like MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL (including spatial data):
Complex queries, data modeling, data management, data manipulation and performance tuning.Entity Framework Core (LINQ).
LDAP.
AWS Experience
Version control (GitHub).
Experience with Unit Testing or Automated Testing
Desired Technical skills:
DevOps
Graph theory knowledge.
JIRA project management.
SharePoint management.
Experience with Python
