Your challenge

Hubject Financial Services GmbH was founded in 2024 as a subsidiary of Hubject GmbH. We are a startup consisting of 7 experts covering functions like project, risk and legal management. So, you will naturally support in various topics as part of a small team, learn a lot and contribute to building a new company.

As a Finance Manager (all genders), you will play a key role in the daily financial operations of a fast-growing, regulated payment institution in the e-mobility sector across international markets. Working closely with senior management and collaborating with external tax advisors and auditors, you will ensure the smooth execution of accounting, reporting, and controlling processes. You will contribute to the further development of our finance setup and actively support the build-out of robust reporting tools that enable effective financial steering across the business.

Your Tasks

• You manage operational accounting activities including the booking of incoming invoices, bank transactions, cash, and credit card reconciliation.
• You support invoice generation, receivables monitoring, and collections processes.
• You handle intercompany reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• You assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements in line with HGB (and IFRS where applicable).
• You monitor daily payments and cash flows and support ongoing financial routines.
• You document and maintain key financial processes, ensuring alignment with internal policies and compliance standards.
• You support the development of Power BI dashboards and management reporting tools to enhance internal controlling and performance tracking.
• You act as a reliable interface between internal stakeholders and external partners such as tax advisors and auditors.

Your Profile

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial operations, ideally in a FinTech, regulated financial institution, or fast-scaling environment.
• Solid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and a working understanding of IFRS (RechZahl is a plus).
• Proficiency with DATEV or comparable accounting tools, as well as strong Excel skills.
• Experience working with Power BI or similar tools for financial reporting is a plus.
• Structured, detail-oriented, and quality-driven with strong analytical skills.
• A proactive mindset and hands-on attitude—comfortable navigating change and improving processes.
• Clear and effective communicator across all levels and functions.

Language

• Fluent in German and English, written and spoken.
