The opportunity
We are looking for a R&D Electrical Engineer to join our Technology center in Ludvika, Sweden.
In this role you will run projects and contribute to the global roadmap execution for Surge arrester, working in close cooperation with experts in different technology fields as well as with design and manufacturing specialists.
As a member of the highly skilled global Technology Center team, you will have the possibilities to use your creativity to solve a wide spectrum of challenges. You will have exciting and varied work in front of you where you will get a broad network internally and externally.

How you’ll make an impact
Lead and run feasibility studies, develop new technical concepts, design new products and simulate their expected performances
Organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies and new products
Document and transfer your knowledge and findings from R&D to production environment both locally and in other facilities abroad
Provide technical support in domain of expertise to other departments when needed (product management, business development, marketing and sales, engineering)
Lead development projects on time, on budget and on quality
Stay up to date with the latest technology solutions, international standards, market trends and customer requirements relating to High voltage Surge Arresters.

Your background
You hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering
Knowledge of the design, testing and experience in developing of high voltage products, preferably Surge Arresters. It is meritorious if you also have experience from High Voltage Capacitors technology
Responsible team player with structured, proactive, self-driven and result oriented work approach
Spirit of innovation, "out of the box" thinking
3+ years of experience in electrical engineering R&D role or similar
Fluency in English, written and spoken alike, is a requirement. Swedish is a plus
