Location: This position location is flexible, with opportunity for a fully remote or hybrid work schedule based out of any of EDF’s U.S. offices 


Term: 2 year fixed term position with full benefits and opportunity for extension


Overall Function: 

The Coordinator, Development Database Services is responsible for producing non-financial reports and analysis for EDF’s Development Department, which raises $300M+ annually. They are also responsible for data management and data integrity. Assignments are of limited scope and complexity and performed under occasional supervision of the Manager of Development Database Services. The Coordinator will play a critical role in the work of the Department’s Database Services team, which is responsible for the management, enhancement, and adoption of Salesforce, EDF’s database of record. 


Key Responsibilities:


Data Analysis & Integrity 

  • Regularly monitor data integrity and independently recommend resolutions to data integrity issues in coordination with the supervisor. 

  • Apply sound judgment to interpret business guidelines, policies, and procedures, independently identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and maintain data integrity  

  • Responsible for all assigned Cases for ad-hoc data uploads, duplicates and deletions


Reporting & Dashboards 

  • Execute recurring weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of specific scope and limited complexity under occasional supervision 

  • Address all assigned Cases for ad-hoc non-financial report and dashboard needs for Development 

  • Prepare and present reports in a clear and professional manner as requested by Development stakeholders with occasional supervision 

  • Support and independently seek out opportunities for the development of data-driven reports to inform decision-making at the team and departmental level 


Salesforce Enhancement Projects 

  • Collaborate with Development stakeholders to assist in gathering perspectives, requirements and expectations as it relates to Salesforce data projects  

  • Write new, or seek out and update existing reports and dashboards to reflect enhancements 

  • Assist in simple logic development for data transformations and occasionally perform uploads to support data transformations   


Collaboration & Communication 

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and internal staff, sharing insights and findings in a clear and concise manner through written reports, emails, and oral communication in meetings 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as the Information Technology and Mission CRM teams as needed to achieve departmental goals 

  • Assist in identifying and evaluating potential solutions to problems within assigned tasks and projects 

  • Participate in advancing EDF organizational effectiveness and culture goals in which people from all backgrounds and experiences feel connected, included, and empowered to address the environmental and organizational challenges in alignment with EDF values. 


Qualifications: 

  • Associate degree or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience fundraising at a non-profit or academic institution  

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent may substitute for up to 2 years of relevant experience 

  • 1-2 years of experience using Salesforce NPSP regularly, with experience creating and updating Salesforce reports and dashboards 

  • Basic understanding of data analysis methods and techniques 

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and consistency 

  • Ability to complete assignments with occasional supervision and with the sound judgment to escalate issues as necessary and appropriate  

  • Ability to communicate effectively in ways that are mindful, conscientious, concise, and people-oriented, supporting equitable access to key information for all members of the Department  

  • Ability to make decisions regarding day-to-day priorities and work activities within context of the supervisor 

  • Demonstrated self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and the ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across all cultures and backgrounds  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) 

  • Experience with Tableau and Asana a plus
