This is how you will grow:

  • Work with TPMs and the Engineering Leads to ensure that all defects are properly documented and updated, and that relevant information is communicated effectively.

  • Work with Development and Feature TPMs to ensure that defects have clear ownership and that the next steps are clearly defined.

  • Work closely with Component ECU-level TPMs, development, verification and validation, and product management stakeholders to ensure clear communication regarding defects and their status.

  • Ensure that bug boards assess and prioritize defects based on severity, impact, and customer requirements to address critical issues promptly.

  • Hold regular reviews for critical defects to ensure timely closure.

  • Generate weekly defect reports on defect trends, and the status of defect resolution to stakeholders at the Bug, Release, and Program reviews.

  • Define, measure, and report on defect management SLAs.

  • Evaluate the risks associated with defects and make recommendations for mitigation strategies.

  • Collaborate with the stakeholders, perform analysis to determine the root cause of defects, and facilitate discussions to prevent recurrence.

  • Identify areas for process improvements in defect management and quality assurance practices.

Requirements

This is how you will take us forward:

  • Years of Experience Required: 7-10 years

  • Degrees or certifications required: Computer Science BS

  • Quality, Tester, Software PM experience, auto industry experience all required

  • Must understand defect management process. Defects closed is main KPI;

  • Software Development lifecycle experience needed

  • Experience with Jira, dashboard, PM management software

  • Proficient in Smartsheet and MS Projects

  • JAMA, GIT configuration management tool
