The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a Contract Manager in Mount Pleasant, PA and support our operations within the High Voltage Business Unit across North and South America. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the successful performance of contract management during both the tendering phase and project executions. This position offers a unique chance to work with diverse interfaces such as Sales, Supply Chain, and Project Execution, enhancing team performance through your expertise. How You'll Make an Impact
Ensure adherence to contract and claim management methodologies.
Review and comment on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions.
Develop contract strategies based on policies, customer requirements, and execution strategies.
Identify contract baselines and highlight potential risks.
Verify fulfillment of contractual obligations and document lessons learned.
Analyze prime contract terms to identify opportunities and risks.
Draft, negotiate, and finalize agreements with legal advice.
Deliver contractual training to project managers and internal groups.
Your Background
Degree in Law or equivalent.
Five years of experience in contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiating in the energy sector.
Extensive experience in contract management functions for EPC energy projects or similar industrial plants.
Experience in working with internationally staffed teams and contractual partners.
Solid understanding of change management and contract-related legal issues.
Ability to multitask and collaborate with counterparts in other Business Units.
Proficiency in English and Spanish; knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage.
