About the Job

At Serve Robotics, we’re reimagining how things move in cities. Our personable sidewalk robot is our vision for the future. It’s designed to take deliveries away from congested streets, make deliveries available to more people, and benefit local businesses.

The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles while doing commercial deliveries. We’re looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.

Who We Are

We are tech industry veterans in software, hardware, and design who are pooling our skills to build the future we want to live in. We are solving real-world problems leveraging robotics, machine learning and computer vision, among other disciplines, with a mindful eye towards the end-to-end user experience. Our team is agile, diverse, and driven. We believe that the best way to solve complicated dynamic problems is collaboratively and respectfully.

We’re looking for a Software Implementation Engineer to own the last‑mile technical work that gets our robotic delivery humming in every new city we launch. You’ll embed with engineering and operations teams, create the configuration interfaces they need, and codify everything in reusable runbooks so the next market feels like copy‑paste.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain internal UIs / APIs that let teams populate new data sets, manage configs, and toggle feature flags for each city.

  • Dive into autonomy, mapping, and fleet‑management codebases to identify the “levers” available for tuning and document how to pull them safely.

  • Partner with Expansion Ops to translate on‑the‑ground insights into concrete parameter changes and quick mitigations.

  • Scope technical work with the Expansion TPM, estimating effort, risk, and rollout timelines.

  • Write clear runbooks and dashboards so future deployments are repeatable and observable.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years professional software development (experience with several programming languages including Python).

  • 1+ year writing SQL for analytics, ETL, or config management.

  • Experience creating internal tools or admin interfaces that surface configuration safely.

  • Excellent written & verbal communication; able to translate engineering detail for non‑technical partners.

  • Willingness to travel ~25% to emerging Serve markets for launch support.

What Makes Your Standout

  • Familiarity with fleet operations for robotics, IoT, or mobility.

  • Hands‑on experience with observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus) to set alert thresholds for new environments.

  • Prior work as a Solutions / Deployment engineer collaborating directly with customers, ops, or field teams.
