Born in 2021 out of a desire to make cities less polluted and less noisy, Electra is helping to shift usage towards electric mobility by tackling the main obstacle that is recharging.
Electra is constantly innovating to make recharging electric vehicles easier, with a network of fast recharging stations (20 minutes on average) and a user experience that's simplified to the max.
Based in Paris, Lyon, Brussels, Madrid, Zurich, Vienna, Munich, Milan and Amsterdam, Electra's teams aim to deploy a network of 15,000 fast charging points by 2030; proud to be part of Europe's energy transition.
In 4 years, we have:
- Deployed 500 stations and over 2000 fast-charging points
- Secured thousands of stations to establish Electra as a European market leader
- Opened several offices across Europe
- Raised over 750 million euros in equity and debt financing from renowned investors and institutions

🧳 Your Mission
At Electra, we are building Italy’s most reliable and expansive fast-charging network, and that starts with securing the right locations, from shopping centers and supermarkets to public land and private car parks.
As Head of Development, you will lead our efforts across Small and Medium Businesses, Key Accounts, and Public Administration verticals, managing a team of Business Developers and Account Managers. You will craft and execute our national expansion roadmap, identify strategic areas for growth, and build high-value partnerships that drive long-term impact.
Directly reporting to General Manager Italy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our go-to-market strategy, adapting our offerings to local market dynamics and ensuring we stay ahead of policy and regulatory changes.
🦸♀️🦸♂️Your Responsibilities
- Define and lead the expansion roadmap for Italy, identifying high-potential development zones and opportunities across sectors.
- Manage and grow a high-performing team covering SMB, Key Account, and Public Administration verticals, ensuring execution excellence and motivation.
- Build and scale the sales machine: from lead generation to deal closing, ensuring process efficiency and a data-driven approach.
- Own and navigate complex negotiations with major retailers, real estate partners, and public institutions, aligning strategic interests and delivering win-win agreements.
- Secure internal validation (including investment committee approvals) by presenting robust business cases with strong analytical backing and regulatory alignment.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration with legal, technical, deployment, and public affairs teams to deliver seamless execution.
- Monitor and adapt to local policy and market trends, continuously refining strategy based on insights.
- Develop and nurture a strong ecosystem of partners, from municipalities to real estate developers, to strengthen Electra’s presence and brand in the Italian market.
💚 Your Profile
- 8+ years of experience in business development, key account, sales or expansion, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong track record in crafting go-to-market strategies and scaling sales teams, ideally in infrastructure, mobility, energy, or real estate.
- Exceptional analytical skills: you can evaluate locations strategically, build solid business cases, and turn data into actionable insights.
- Confident in managing complex stakeholders; you’re a skilled communicator and negotiator who can influence both internally and externally.
- You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, and you’re motivated by the challenge of building something from the ground up.
- You are resilient, structured, and results-driven, able to turn vision into executable action plans.
- Fluent in Italian and English; French is a plus.
