Come join our team as a Specialist in Corporate Right-of-Way, where you will play a pivotal role in managing and securing land rights to support strategic infrastructure projects.

The Specialist, Corporate Right-of-way is responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks related to the acquisition and management of rights of way in the United States and Canada. The work of the incumbent has a broad range of involvement across the life span of a pipeline projects. Primary duties include maintaining documentation, assisting with right-of-way estimates and feasibility studies, and file management. The role will also include responsibilities for existing Air Products pipeline assets including encroachments, franchise and permit renewals, and operations support. This position will play a crucial role in securing and maintaining pipeline right-of-way that align with the company’s strategies and growth objectives.

This position will be based at our office in Houston, TX. Occasional travel will be required.

Required Skills / Abilities: 

  • Ability to concurrently plan, organize and manage multiple work assignments and projects. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effectively evaluate, direct, and execute project priorities with project team members.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to get into title details and research when necessary.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and foster sound internal client relationships by coordinating the anticipated right-of-way requirements for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinate agreements for the acquisition or renewal of real estate interests, including rights of way, pipeline permits, franchise agreements and servitudes.
  • Engage, direct, and manage outside land surveyors, title abstractors, right-of-way agents and other professionals whose services are normally used in connection with right-of-way acquisition projects.
  • Work with outside legal counsel in conjunction with the internal law group.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 5 years of related work experience in a real estate
    (right-of-way experience preferred) or similar business function.
  • Understanding of right-of-way and real estate principles, concepts, and legal terms.
  • Experience in commercial matters and dealing with legal contracts.
