Senior Manager - Data & Artificial Intelligence Solutions

Reports to Sr Director - IT Arch, Innov & Transformation

Reports onsite to Orange CT

The salary range for this position is dependent on location and experience level ranging from $160,149 to $200,187

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Data and AI Solutions team and implement lead our data strategy and governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies, along with proven leadership abilities. This role will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of our data and AI initiatives, managing a team of talented professionals, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative solutions that meet our business needs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams, delivering complex projects, and driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of data scientists, AI engineers, and analysts to develop and deploy cutting-edge data and AI solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and design AI-driven strategies to address them.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, from ideation to deployment and monitoring.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive data strategies and governance frameworks.
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data models, data warehouses, and ETL pipelines.
  • Oversee distributed data processing systems to ensure efficient data management and processing.
  • Utilize ETL tools such as Informatica to streamline data integration and transformation processes.
  • Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, data scientists, and other data professionals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business objectives.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data and AI technologies.
  • Apply knowledge of Generative AI models to enhance data solutions and drive innovation.
  • Ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of AI solutions through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and data science and integrate new technologies and methodologies into the team’s work.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education or experience will be considered

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in data strategy, governance, data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL pipeline development
  • Experience on projects involving big data processing and distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark

Skills

  • Proficiency in Data Governance and ETL tools such as Informatica.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed data processing systems.
  • Experience with Generative AI models and their applications.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading data teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expert knowledge of machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, and deep learning
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, JavaScript, and C++
  • Knowledge of popular machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as Azure and AWS, and their relevant AI services
  • Familiarity with data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, data integration, and data warehousing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI data science, ML engineering, or data analytics
  • Familiarity with designing and implementing AI solutions with a focus on machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, NLP, or data mining
  • Knowledge with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Microstrategy or Power BI.
