The Project & Opportunity:
HumeLink East involves the expansion of the existing Bannaby 500 kV substation, along with the design and construction of 230km of new 500 kV double circuit transmission line. This new transmission line will connect the Bannaby 500 kV substation at the Wondalga interface point with HumeLink West.

For this project, we are looking for a Community and Stakeholder Coordinator to work alongside Construction Teams and collaborate as a team player to actively plan, monitor, evaluate and recommend changes to policies, programs and delivery strategy, to facilitate high quality stakeholder engagement and outcomes for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships in support of project design and delivery.

  • Assist the delivery of stakeholder engagement including providing administrative support for meetings and briefings.

  • Manage day-to-day requirements of our new Community Information Centre, including being a point of contact for the community and ensuring the availability, relevance, and currency of information available to project stakeholders.

  • Assist in preparation of speeches, video production, media releases, brochures, newsletters, and other collateral as required.

  • Prepare reports and summaries related to communications and stakeholder engagement activities, including compliance and evaluation.

  • Identify opportunities for improved stakeholder experiences and outcomes.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Degree or equivalent in communications, community engagement, or a similar field

  • Experience working with technical concepts and/or construction teams on large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

  • Solutions-focused problem-solving and ability to remain flexible as priorities change or evolve.

  • Sound project management skills and ability to self-motivate for individual tasks.

  • Team player who actively contributes to group activities and a positive project culture.
