The opportunity


Hitachi Energy is looking for a Data Center Segment Manager in Vaasa, Finland. In this role you will have the opportunity to define and implement all sales and marketing activities including but not limited to products, services and systems within the Data Center segment. This is done in alignment to the given strategy, ensuring that the related product groups increase all relevant metrics in their selected market segments. Together with the team, you will be developing and implementing a market-based approach which includes direct, third-party and project sales whilst building customer relationships with key stakeholders, to educate, inform and solicit support for pursuing market opportunities and converting them to orders.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Achieve orders targets (e.g., volume, prices, portfolio mix) with the Business units and in co-operation with local and global sales teams.

  • Ensuring that the value proposition for the target segment is developed according to customer needs and in co-operation with the Business units.

  • Activate market intelligence, benchmarking, and analysis to assess market dimensions like market size, customer trends and strategies, market practices, product and portfolio gaps, competitor moves and activities.

  • Agree with the business units / product groups on market developments, products/solutions requirements and development actions and plans.

  • Identify, prioritize and develop key accounts and opportunities ensuring the achievement of successful sales volume and targets.

  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with key customers, stakeholders and decision makers, to ensure an effective communication on the segment.

  • Together with the global and local sales teams and Business units, lead and develop the local segment strategic accounts. Ensure that the major accounts in the segment are identified and prioritized by the company.
     

Your background

  • A master’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or similar is preferred.

  • You are a driven and self-motivated person with excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders and create tight long-lasting relationships.

  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • You have ability to solve problems and think outside the box to achieve the best results.

  • Would be nice to have experience within Data center segment.

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Finnish and English language is required.
