Job Summary
The Grants and Development Manager is a dynamic role responsible for project managing fundraising efforts, managing grants throughout their lifecycle, and overseeing cross-functional project execution. This person will report to the Chief of Staff and work closely with the CEO. This individual ensures that grant proposals, reporting, and compliance are seamless and timely, while also leading internal coordination for deliverables, financial oversight, and legal documentation. This position requires a proactive professional who can manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly across teams, and bring both strategic thinking and attention to detail.



Job Responsibilities

Fundraising & Development

  • Identify and research new funding opportunities. Prepare concise briefs for the CEO and Chief of Staff. Document call notes and track follow-up actions to ensure timely execution.

  • Prepare donor communication materials, updates, and reports.

  • Maintain donor and funder records in the CRM system; ensure proper acknowledgment and tracking.

Grants Management

  • Manage the full project management lifecycle of grants from pre-award to post-award, including proposal submission, contracting, reporting, and closeout.

  • Gather data from program teams to ensure compelling and accurate submissions.

  • Maintain detailed grant files, calendars, and dashboards to monitor progress and upcoming deadlines.

  • Manage calendars and ensure compliance with all grant terms, conditions, deadlines, and reporting requirements.

  • Prepare interim and final narrative and financial reports; ensure alignment with funder expectations and organizational outcomes.

Legal & Finance Coordination

  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to review contracts, agreements, and regulatory compliance

  • Monitor the development of grant and program budgets and financial reporting.

  • Maintain secure and organized records.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public administration, communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in grants management, nonprofit development, and/or project management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with fundraising databases (e.g., Nation Builder), project management tools (e.g., Asana), and Google Workspace.

  • Familiarity with nonprofit legal and financial compliance is preferred.
