Together, we will change the future of energy, because the world can't wait.</div>What You Will Be Doing:You will play a critical role in supporting the core electrical energy management systems that power our fusion generators. This includes systems responsible for energy delivery to magnetics, fusion energy recovery, and redistribution networks. This onsite role reports directly to the Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering at our Everett, WA office.You Will:<ul><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Design, test, troubleshoot, and support operation of high voltage electrical power systems for driving pulsed magnetic coils</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Oversee design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of high-power electrical systems to drive pulsed coils (&lt;1ms) at currents up to 5MA and voltages up to 40 kV</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Develop electrical system architecture and work with designers to produce electrical schematics and installation drawings</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Develop cost-effective, scalable, and reliable design solutions via technical peer review through a design review process for each major design project</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Collaborate with operators of generator power systems through machine commissioning and, for development machines, through the lifetime of the machine</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Demonstrate rigorous engineering practices including management of cost, schedule, and resource estimates as they pertain to your design, build, and delivery timelines</li></ul>Required Skills:<ul><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">5+ years experience in power electronics, solving complex electrical engineering problems from design to delivery</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Experience in design, fabrication, installation and test of electrical systems</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Strong background with solid state switching technologies and understanding of operating characteristics of power electronic components such as IGBTs, power MOSFETs, and SCRs</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Technical expertise in the application of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory, and practice with the ability to coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Advanced in electronic troubleshooting systems using standard benchtop tools such as oscilloscopes, Eloads, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, and PCB design software</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Experience with Microsoft Suite, LTSpice, SIMtrex/Simplis, Altium, Matlab</li></ul>#LI-Onsite #LI-KL1<div><div><div>Total Compensation and BenefitsHelion's compensation package includes a competitively benchmarked base salary, meaningful equity grants, and comprehensive benefits.
