Job Description:
Are you ready to take on a leadership role in a dynamic and challenging environment? Join us at the Hera power plant, powered by 7x W18V46 diesel engines, and lead our team to success. As the Operations Manager, you will:
-Lead and Manage: Oversee daily operational activities, ensuring smooth and efficient plant operations.
-Performance Monitoring: Track and report key performance indicators to ensure the plant meets its contractual obligations.
-Team Development: Ensure your team has the resources and training needed to excel.
-Quality Assurance: Maintain the plant and equipment according to guidelines and policies, taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Safety and Compliance: Execute work according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines, as well as customer site procedures.
- Strategic Implementation: Implement Contract Management action plans, processes, and guidelines within your area of responsibility.
- Reporting and Planning: Prepare detailed reports, operation plans, and budgets as directed by the Plant Manager and Contract Manager.
- Reliability Improvement: Identify and actively seek ways to enhance the operational reliability and availability of the plant.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize the operational costs of the plant.
- Standard Procedures: Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintenance Planning: Schedule maintenance activities, balancing operational requirements.
Job Specification:
Education:
- BSc in Engineering or equivalent level of education.
- Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of local languages and culture is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience:
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in managing operations in a power plant.
- Previous experience in a similar position will be considered an added advantage.
