You will provide expert guidance on direct and indirect tax matters, support strategic business decisions, and help manage tax risks while ensuring compliance with local and international tax requirements. Working closely with Finance, Legal, and external advisors, you will contribute to business growth by developing effective tax strategies, supporting transactions, and ensuring the organisation remains aligned with evolving tax regulations and reporting requirements.</p><h2>What you’ll be doing</h2><p>In this role, you will take ownership of tax compliance, reporting, and advisory activities, including:</p><ul> <li>Ensure timely and accurate filing of direct and indirect tax returns while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations</li> <li>Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and authorities on tax filings, reviews, audits, and controversy matters</li> <li>Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impacts on the business</li> <li>Oversee tax accounting activities, including tax provisions, reconciliations, deferred tax, and financial reporting disclosures</li> <li>Support the development and implementation of tax-efficient structures and strategies aligned with business objectives</li> <li>Provide tax guidance on mergers, acquisitions, corporate transactions, and project development activities</li> <li>Partner with Finance and Legal teams to optimise organisational structures, contracts, and cross-border tax arrangements</li> <li>Act as the internal subject matter expert on tax matters and support financial modelling and project-related tax assessments</li></ul><p>Your work will directly support sound business decisions, strengthen compliance, and contribute to Scatec’s long-term financial performance and growth.</p><h2>What you’ll gain</h2><ul> <li>Professional growth through ownership of strategic tax and compliance activities</li> <li>Hands-on experience in a role that combines technical tax expertise with business partnering and commercial decision-making</li> <li>Exposure to international business operations and collaboration with global Finance, Legal, and Tax teams</li> <li>Opportunity to influence key business decisions and support corporate and project development activities</li> <li>Experience working within the renewable energy sector and contributing to the energy transition</li> <li>A key role in shaping Scatec’s tax strategy, governance, and compliance framework in Egypt</li></ul><h2>What you’ll bring</h2><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li> <li>7–10 years of progressive experience in tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax structuring, preferably within a corporate environment</li> <li>Strong understanding of direct and indirect tax regulations, tax accounting principles, and tax risk management</li> <li>Experience in tax controversy management, financial modelling, and transaction-related tax matters</li> <li>Proficiency in tax compliance systems, ERP platforms, and financial reporting processes</li> <li>Fluent in English, both written and spoken</li></ul><h2>What it’s like to work at Scatec</h2><p>At Scatec, we combine purpose with performance.
