About Maiven
Maiven is on a mission to revolutionize how energy efficiency and decarbonization programs are delivered at scale. Our platform empowers utility companies, governments, and energy program implementers to make smarter decisions that reduce energy costs and carbon footprints for residents. We combine cutting-edge software with advanced energy modeling to unlock massive savings for households—especially in underserved communities.
Our team is small, fast-moving, and deeply mission-aligned. We’re looking for a talented Fullstack Engineer to join us as we scale. If you thrive in ambiguity, love building high-impact products, and care deeply about the user experience—you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Do
Build and enhance the Maiven platform across both frontend and backend, working closely with our Lead Engineer and product team.
Own and deliver full-stack features using React, TailwindCSS, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and TypeScript.
Contribute to architectural and infrastructure decisions that support scalability, maintainability, and speed.
Collaborate in tight feedback loops with product and end users to build tools that are intuitive, polished, and deeply helpful.
Participate in sprint planning, rapid iteration cycles, and code reviews with a focus on quality and care.
Think beyond “functional” — craft experiences that are lovable, not just viable.
Who You Are
You have 4–10 years of experience building and shipping software that supports real users in production environments.
You have production-level experience across the modern web stack — especially React, Node.js (NestJS), TypeScript/JavaScript, PostgreSQL, and Docker
You’re familiar with AWS services like S3, SQS, and Lambdas, and you’ve worked in cloud-native environments.
You’ve either been a founder, worked at an early-stage startup, or are energized by startup speed and ownership.
You have extremely high standards for customer experience and design. You don’t check the box on a feature until it feels right for the end user.
You’re obsessed with the user journey and bring customer empathy into every technical decision.
You thrive in fast-moving, low-structure environments and are comfortable wearing multiple hats.
Nice to have: Python and Pandas for light data analysis; experience with ExpressJS, Vite, and/or design-minded implementation; OCR and spatial data processing (e.g. PostGIS)
What We Offer
Competitive salary and meaningful equity in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.
A chance to work directly with a small, high-caliber team solving real-world problems.
A product and engineering culture that prizes beauty, simplicity, and user delight.
Flexibility in work location and hours — we care more about outcomes than clocking in.
A seat at the table as we shape the future of residential energy efficiency and climate tech.
We don’t do MVPs. We build things people love.
If that resonates — we’d love to meet you. Apply now and help build the future of Maiven.
About the Company

Maiven Energy
At Maiven we’re driven by a mission to rapidly decarbonize residential buildings, democratize access to clean energy and incentives, and support an equitable energy transition. Our aim is to make the sustainable choice not only the right choice but also the most financially savvy one.
We believe people want to do the right thing—for the planet and their wallets—but the right thing isn’t always obvious. Especially when it comes to energy upgrades and rebates, the landscape is often confusing and inaccessible. If we want people to make climate-friendly choices, we have to make the right thing also the easy and financially beneficial thing. That’s what we’re all about at Maiven.
Maiven is a fast-moving, mission-driven startup building software to help energy programs reach their decarbonization, grid flexibility, and equity goals faster and at lower cost. We do that by empowering homeowners and renters to identify the best energy upgrades for their situation—and then making it easy to act on them.
We’re a small team doing big things—and we’re just getting started.
