In support of achieving excellence and business results through safe, reliable operations, our Human Resources Department is looking for a strategic and experienced Human Resources Business Process & Systems Analyst to join our team.
The Human Resources Business Process & Systems Analyst will report to the Manager, HR Systems & Analytics and is responsible for the review, analysis and configuration of HR systems and processes and actively functions as a strategic resource for all Human Resource programs by providing robust technical and analytical support.
This is a permanent, full-time position which offers a competitive benefits, compensation and pension package and is located on site in Tiverton, Ontario.
What will you be responsible for?
Integration & System Support
Responsible for supporting Workday as our HRIS and other HR technology and related integrations
Design, develop, and deploy integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integration flows and middleware environments.
Responsible for configuration of enhancements, break-fix and resolution of problems to support day to day operations including working with IT to ensure ongoing availability of HR systems
Contribute to the review of changes, impact analysis, and regression testing arising from various Human Resources initiatives, including systems upgrade/implementation
Develop systems requirements documentation / specification, conducts testing, prepares User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scripts and supports data conversion activities as required
Provide expert technical judgment on business processes and systems to support the development of effective strategies for optimum operation, development and improvement
Ensure appropriate level of application security and access control is maintained in line with company security and data privacy standards
Reporting & Analytics
Coordinate and support data/report requests for the HR team and the business
Collaboratively work with business users, line unit support staff, consultants and suppliers to identify innovative and strategic opportunities for efficiencies that result in the potential of automation of processes, artificial intelligence and other solutions
Define, build and distribute analytics and insights with standard reporting and dashboards, as well as testing all scheduled reports to ensure that configuration change impacts are identified and adjustments made as required
Influence others to drive opportunities and gain efficiencies in processes to enable more data to be captured and mined for future analytical purposes
Develop solutions deduced from data and information to better enable the line organization and other divisions across the company in making effective decisions which includes probabilistic systems
Maintain an awareness of newly implemented analytically driven solutions and consult on strategies for exploiting opportunities
Knowledge and Skills
Experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) or IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
Strong knowledge of database systems (e.g., DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) and writing SQL queries.
Experience with cloud-based integrations and hybrid environments is essential.
knowledge of HR processes, data structures and interrelationships within an HRIS solution
Fundamental understanding of relational data structures and associated concepts
Strong analytical and technical skills to gather, interpret and report on data from various sources such as data warehouses and transactional systems
A customer service orientation with a demonstrated track record of partnering with users and business clients to resolve problems and generate creative solutions
Knowledge of ITIL and Business Analysis principles
Ability to work in a fast paced, multi project environment with shifting priorities, and the ability to reassess and reprioritize competing business needs
Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrates attention to detail, analytical, and excellent problem solving skills
Requires solid conceptual, analytical and strategic thinking in the development and recommendation of various models and solutions
Must be able to interpret and coordinate information and processes associated with mined data and information
Requires mastery of English, both oral and written, to communicate effectively with others, and to prepare models, reports, proposals and presentations
Requires advanced knowledge of analytics and business processes and its cognates including the principles of business systems, advanced quantitative methods, statistics, and forecasting methodology
Experience and Education
4- year university degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Development, or Artificial Intelligence
Experience with HR data Integrations to internal and external business systems
Experience with Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) is considered an asset
