Our Trainee Program for Germany is designed for 18 months and aims to jumpstart your career with a unique journey within the Hitachi Energy community. It will take you through three to four work assignments focussed on Operations / Production, with the second assignment being an international placement, and then conclude with establishing yourself in a permanent position within Hitachi Energy.
During this journey you will learn more about how we are operating Production at our large Power Transformers factory in Bad Honnef, connect with different stakeholders and experience career enhancing learning opportunities within our teams.
Your responsibilities
Join a team of experienced professionals, collaborate with local and international colleagues and contribute to our volume growth activities supporting the energy transition in Europe
Gain broad and deep understanding of Hitachi Energy’s production processes and the daily business in a production unit for large Power Transformers
Support our production managers and shopfloor employees in improvement and change management activities
Develop your strengths with the help of regular feedback and clearly established performance objectives
You will work in a collaborative environment that encourages all voices to share their unique perspectives and fuel innovation. We strongly believe in Diversity + Collaboration = Innovation

Your background
Bachelor’s or higher degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or similar
Good knowledge about production processes in an industrial environment, ideally in the area of complex special machinery
Good knowledge in lean management
Proficient in written and spoken German and English
High willingness to learn and motivation to engage in new topics
Self-driven, analytical team player with strong communication skills
International mobility required for your assignments
Additional important information: Start date of the program is 01.10.2025.
