Job Summary: This is an exciting role for an innovative, high-growth defense technology company. In this role, you will tackle complex problems using modeling and simulation. You will work across a variety of projects to characterize system-of-systems performance in relevant mission sets. The ideal candidate has experience solving engineering challenges through code and can rapidly understand study requirements, define different modeling approaches, and deliver value-added analysis products to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Develop models and simulations to evaluate subsystem, system, and system-of-systems performance for Epirus’ products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, improve, and verify models
Perform engineering trade studies to define requirements for Epirus’ products
Evaluate capabilities of new systems and architectures to ensure cost, mission requirements, and operational effectiveness are properly traded
Develop, evaluate, and propose CONOPs
Present analysis to both internal and external customers to drive impact
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, or equivalent
2+ years of relevant experience in modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis for existing or proposed engineering solutions
Proficiency in one of the following: Python, C/C++
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with AFSIM
Experience with distributed simulation standards (DIS, HLA, and/or TENA)
Experience with Design of Experiments and Monte Carlo simulation
Familiarity with RF systems (radar, comms, EW, etc.) and EO/IR systems
Experience with requirements development and analysis
Experience with Unreal Engine

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is:
$107,300—$129,500 USD
