We're H2 Everywhere, a climatetech startup building distributed, modular clean hydrogen production systems. Our mission is to make green hydrogen affordable and accessible, enabling decarbonization for hard-to-electrify industries. ‎The RoleWe're seeking a hands-on, strategic technical co-founder/CTO to lead our R&amp;D and engineering efforts as we scale from lab prototype to commercial deployment. You'll own the technical roadmap for our breakthrough thermocatalytic hydrogen production process while building and leading a world-class engineering team. This role combines deep technical leadership with entrepreneurial execution in a fast-growing market.‎ ‎Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Own end-to-end technology roadmap for modular H₂ production system</li><li>Lead scale-up and process engineering for our proprietary catalyst technology</li><li>Lead design, prototyping, and scale-up of core reactor and system components</li><li>Build and manage multidisciplinary engineering/R&amp;D team (chemical, mechanical, systems, and controls)</li><li>Work closely with CEO and advisors to define product-market strategy, technical milestones, and capital strategy</li><li>Drive IP strategy, regulatory compliance, and technology validation programs</li><li>Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards</li></ul>‎ ‎Qualifications<ul><li>PhD, MS, or BS in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related field</li><li>8+ years in industrial R&amp;D, hardware startups, or cleantech scale-up</li><li>Deep experience with catalysis, reactor design, and/or hydrogen systems</li><li>Proven track record scaling laboratory technology to pilot/commercial deployment</li><li>Strong project leadership and team-building ability</li><li>Entrepreneurial mindset with bias toward rapid execution and problem-solving</li></ul>

H2 Everywhere builds modular onsite hydrogen production units that make affordable green hydrogen on-site via thermocatalysis. We enable affordable, infrastructure-free hydrogen production at point of use, eliminating up to 70% of delivered hydrogen costs by removing the need for pipelines, and pressurized and cryogenic transport. Our process operates at low temperatures and pressures, consumes significantly less energy than electrolysis, and can utilize recycled CO₂ and non-purified water, reducing emissions and resource demand in hard-to-decarbonize sectors like shipping, aviation, and heavy industry.
