The opportunitydcbel is looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer that will be responsible for the industrialization, optimization, and continuous improvement of products and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on individual contributor with at least 5 years of manufacturing experience, who thrives in a dynamic environment and is willing to get directly involved to drive results. Main responsibilities<ul><li>Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) ramp-up and training at contract manufacturer sites. Maintain issue logs and track issues to resolution. </li><li>Populate ERP, MRP, and PLM systems with accurate production data. </li><li>Own part quality, process optimization, and supplier industrialization throughout the product lifecycle. </li><li>Monitor production throughput and quality metrics; recommend and implement corrective actions as needed. </li><li>Develop, map, and optimize manufacturing process flows, takt times. </li><li>Collaborate with suppliers to ensure alignment with dcbel’s quality and manufacturing standards. </li><li>Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures. </li><li>Ensure robust error-proofing (poka-yoke) is built into manufacturing processes. </li><li>Lead and close NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Requests) efficiently, preventing recurring issues. </li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting cost reduction, waste elimination, lead-time improvements, and quality enhancement. </li><li>Actively participate in design reviews with dcbel Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability and develop effective DFM (Design for Manufacturability) strategies in collaboration with suppliers. </li></ul> Key requirements<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience and proven ability. </li><li>5+ years experience working with electromechanical products; quality management experience is an asset. </li><li>Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and data analysis. </li><li>Willingness to travel 30–40%, sometimes on short notice. .</li></ul> Bonus skills <ul><li>Bilingual English and French.</li></ul> Profile<ul><li>Strong project management skills with the ability to structure and execute initiatives. </li><li>Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; excellent collaboration and teamwork skills. </li><li>Strong technical writing skills; ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely. </li></ul> What's in it for you<ul><li>Be part of a company that is backed by numerous globally respected investors and has world-changing patents in an industry changing for the first time in history.</li><li>Grow your professional experience amongst blue chip partners and a close-knit team of committed and experienced energy experts who deeply care about the work they do.</li><li>Full benefits package including Health insurance, Health virtual care, employee stock options plan (ESOP) and flexible hours.
