Grow here.We are currently seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to support our ongoing operations as a Designer’s Site Representative (DSR) on a secure Infrastructure/ Structure project at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth.This role is ideal for someone with previous site experience on major engineering projects who can proactively identify issues early on. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the safe and effective delivery of major projects within a highly regulated environment.As a member of the DSR team, you will work closely with the DSR Leads and design teams to represent AECOM on-site, helping to ensure that construction works are delivered in accordance with the design intent, technical specifications, and quality standards. The role will involve regular interface with clients, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams across the project lifecycle.What you’ll do! <ul><li>Supporting the DSR Package Leads by providing on-site representation of the design team.</li><li>Undertaking inspections and assessments of construction activities at key hold points for RC structural elements and concrete works to ensure compliance with design documentation.</li><li>Preparing clear and concise technical reports and inspection/surveillance records.</li><li>Attending site meetings, liaising with client representatives, resolving technical issues, and contributing to collaborative solutions.</li><li>Monitoring site works to ensure alignment with the relevant safety, environmental and quality standards.</li><li>Reviewing contractor proposals to check for alignment with design requirements and specifications.</li><li>Coordinate and support responses to Technical Queries (TQs).</li><li>Proactively identify and raise any health and safety concerns during site and day-to-day activities.</li></ul>Come grow with us:And let's not forget about the perks at AECOM.
