Position Summary
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive People Operations & Recruiting Coordinator to join our People & Culture team on a contract basis. This role will support a wide range of People Operations and Recruiting functions, with a strong focus on compliance, documentation, and process coordination. In addition, this person will also provide recruiting coordination support and assist with ongoing team projects as needed. The ideal candidate will be someone who is very resourceful, independent and excited to plug into a People & Culture team to support a myriad of responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities
People Operations
Support administrative processes related to state business registrations, including setting up entities in new states and ensuring ongoing compliance with local requirements
Manage incoming state correspondence (e.g., tax notices, annual report reminders, fee due dates), escalating or responding as appropriate
Provide compliance support with audits and reporting including EEO-1, CA Pay Data, non-discrimination testing, ACA, and annual 401K audits
Assist with workplace insurance and workers’ compensation processes, including audits, and policy renewals
Administer and monitor employment eligibility verification (e.g., E-Verify) for new hires
Track and support completion of mandatory compliance trainings across the organization
Recruiting
Partner with recruiter to conduct pre-screens, schedule interviews, maintain the hiring pipeline, and ensure every candidate has a positive experience
Communicate clearly and promptly with candidates and internal teams about interview logistics and updates
Help maintain recruiting documentation and update internal resources like interview guides and candidate FAQs
Ad Hoc Projects
Assist the P&C team in ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as appropriate
Ideal Candidate
2+ years of experience in a Human Resources, People Operations, or Recruiting support role
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter with a resourceful mindset and a proven ability to navigate ambiguity and see tasks through to completion
Clear and professional communicator, both written and verbal
Comfortable working independently on compliance and administrative processes, especially those involving state-specific requirements
Enjoys behind-the-scenes operational work and takes pride in keeping systems and processes running smoothly
About The Role
This is a remote contract position with an hourly rate of $30 per hour. Weekly hours may vary based on workload, with an average of approximately 5-10 hours per week.
