About the Job

Your mission
Join the Team Powering the UK’s Clean Heat Revolution
Heat Geek is the most trusted voice in home heating and we’ve earned that title by being part of the industry. We don’t talk at heating engineers, we speak as them. Through our hugely successful YouTube channel, we’ve educated millions, sparked change across the sector and built a rocketship of a business in the process.

Now, we’re building our in-house video team to take things to the next level.

We’re a fast-growing startup with serious traction. Our YouTube-first content engine has driven explosive growth but we’ve been doing it all through outsourced production. It’s time to change that. We want full control over our creative output, our brand and our story. This team will be the voice, tone and visual style of Heat Geek across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, our website and beyond.

If you’re excited by meaningful storytelling, clean energy and building something genuinely game-changing – this is your chance to get in early and shape the next chapter. Your profile

You’ll be the hands-on shooter and post-production wizard that turns our raw footage into engaging, scroll-stopping content. From homeowner installs to product launches, you’ll capture the action, then shape it into something magical, snappy, smart and impossible to ignore.

You’ll be tasked with growing viewer engagement and building a consistent Heat Geek look and feel across every piece of content. This is a rare opportunity to help launch our first in-house video team. Video is one of our most powerful growth channels and sits at the heart of the business. If you love the idea of delivering content powering one of the UK’s fastest-growing clean energy startups, this is your role.

Outputs You’ll Handle:

  • Main YouTube videos (educational, case study, promo)

  • Social Shorts (cutdowns, tips, reels, TikTok)

  • Testimonial and install shoots with homeowners

  • Product explainer and launch videos

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shoot high-quality video content on-location and in-studio (interviews, installs, experiments)

  • Manage lighting, audio and video during shoots

  • Edit long form and short form content for YouTube and social media

  • Maintain a consistent look and feel across Heat Geek’s video content

  • Organise and manage asset libraries

Skills & Experience:

  • Confident with professional camera equipment

  • Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro

  • Efficient and versatile editor with a good eye for storytelling

  • Strong understanding of audio, colour correction, and export workflows

  • Comfortable working independently on shoot days

About the Company

Heat Geek

London, UK

21-50

Heat Geek is empowering people to revolutionise home energy at nation scale. Our best-in-class training, to upskill gas engineers to become heat pump installers, and digital tooling, enables independent installers to design highly efficient heat pump systems, the modern way.

We train people to install heat pumps, provide the tools to grow their business, and introduce them to homeowners. Working with partners like OVO helps us  scale our proposition and finance the upfront costs of installations to bring heat pumps to homeowners at the scale required for Net Zero.

Our Heat Geeks deliver industry-leading heat pump performance. This raises energy efficiency by 500%, on average, compared with gas boilers. This means energy bills fall  by more than the cost of the loans that pay for the heat pump — enabling homeowners to upgrade their homes and save money every month.
